Rockstar Teases Trailer for New Grand Theft Auto Title
Listen up, GTA fans!
Rockstar games today made a surprise announcement unveiling Grand Theft Auto V. The company didn’t provide anything in the way of details, instead opting to replace the official Rockstar website with a massive GTA V logo. Again, no word on when the game is launching, but the company’s splash page does include a promise of a trailer next Wednesday, November 2.
We’re assuming its going to be a 2012 launch, making it 15 years since the original GTA game launched. The most recent GTA game, GTA IV, was released in 2008. 2009 saw the release of three additional titles, the Ballad of Gay Tony, Chinatown Wars and the Lost and Damned. Rockstar hasn’t mentioned which of its developer studios will be taking care of GTA V but it’s safe to assume Rockstar North, based in Scotland, will at least play a part. This particular branch of Rockstar Games has had a hand in developing every GTA title since San Andreas in 2004. From 1997 to 2002, the company developed GTA games under the name DMA Design.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted on that trailer. For now, who’s excited for GTA V?

Nintendo Unveils Wii U Controller, new 3DS Titles
Dubbed Project Cafe for the last several months, Nintendo has finally taken the wraps off of its new home console, the Wii U.

A recent E3 tradition, Nintendo once again held its press conference early on the first (official) day of E3 2011. Last year we were wowed by new hardware with the announcement of the 3DS, and this year was no different.
Nintendo has officially taken the wraps off of the Wii U (pronounced We You), its new home console that will hit store shelves in 2012. The Wii U is a two-part system, with one component attached to your HDTV, and a tablet-like device that seems to be the focal point of the console (Nintendo didn’t up much for details on the TV connected component). The TV component streams content to the tablet, no wires required.
